If your laptop dies or the connection drops
Your answers save as you type: to this computer at once and to Assessly within 10 seconds. The page header shows Saved, Saving or Not saved yet.
What happens
- The connection drops: the header shows Not saved yet. Keep working. Your answers stay on this computer and are sent when the connection returns. The clock keeps running.
- Your laptop dies or the browser closes: open the test again on the same computer. If the attempt is still open, the page says You have this test open. Choose Continue the test.
- You are away for more than 30 seconds: the test ends and what you saved is submitted. Tell your faculty. They can re-open the attempt and add time, and your saved answers stay.
- You try another device: a test can be open on one device at a time. The page says This test is open on another device. Finish it where you started it, or ask faculty to allow another device.
- The clock does not pause. The end time is set by the server. If an outage cost you real time, faculty can add time.
- Time runs out: the test submits itself with the answers you saved. The page says Time was up.
