You cannot open a test
A test opens inside its window, for the classes or the invited students it was set for. One of these is almost always the reason.
Check, in order
- Where you sit it. Tests are taken on a laptop or desktop, not a phone. Some open only in the Assessly desktop app. The page then says This test is taken in the Assessly app, with an Open in the app button. Download the app from assessly.in/download if it is not installed.
- The window. A test opens at its start time and stops taking new starts at its last start time. After that nobody can start it. If the page says Not open yet, come back at the start time. Times are India time.
- Your access. A test is set for classes or for an invited list. For a class test you must be in the class. For an invited test, open the invitation link emailed to you while signed in with the email it was sent to. If the page says Wrong account, sign in with that email.
- Your browser, when the test allows browsers. Use Chrome, Edge or Firefox (version 110 or newer) or Safari 15 or newer. Links opened inside another app are blocked, so open the link in a browser.
- Your setup. On the page before the test, Your setup checks your browser, connection, fullscreen and saving on this computer, and your camera and microphone if the test uses them. Fix what is marked and choose Check again. A private window blocks saving, so use a normal window.
- A test already open. If it is open on this computer, the page says You have this test open. Choose Continue the test. If it is open on another device, finish it there.
- A used attempt. A test takes one attempt unless faculty switch on Allow another try. After you submit, the page says You have used your attempt.
