Give a student more time
Add time from a test's Live tab while students are writing. It reaches their clock at once, nothing restarts and no answers are lost.
Add time to a test that is running
- Open Tests, choose the test and open its Live tab.
- Choose Add time.
- Enter the minutes, choose who it is for (everyone writing, chosen students or one student) and pick a reason: Network problem, Power cut, Question error or Other. The reason is kept on the timeline with your name.
- Confirm. Students see their clock change.
Other ways to give time
- Let a student in after the last start: on the Results tab, choose the student and then Let them sit it. Give a reason. They start from the beginning.
- A student whose test ended: open their attempt and choose Re-open it, which keeps their answers and gives more time, or Let them sit again for a fresh attempt.
- A second device: on the Live tab, choose Allow another device for that student, only when you know the first device is gone.
