Fullscreen and when a test ends

Your college chooses the rules for each test. The page before the test lists them under The rules for this test. On a Standard test, only leaving fullscreen three times ends it.

A Standard test

  1. First exit from fullscreen: a warning.
  2. Second exit: a final warning.
  3. Third exit: the test ends and what you saved is submitted.
  4. Switching to another tab or app is recorded, and you get a warning each time. It does not end the test.

A Strict or Custom test

  • Strict: the camera is on, and the third tab switch ends the test as well as the third fullscreen exit.
  • Custom: faculty choose the numbers and the action. Read The rules for this test before you start.

Everything else

  • Outside paste, developer tools, network changes and the other checks are recorded with context for faculty to review. None ends a test or zeroes a mark on its own.
  • Closing or reloading the page is different. If you are away for more than 30 seconds the test ends. See your test ended early.
